Quick Start — five steps, once a year

Quick Start — five steps, once a year

(Condensed from the User Guide; the Guide governs.)

  1. Set up — add your entities; answer the one capacity question per entity honestly; attest the perimeter is complete (marking an entity dormant with a reason beats omitting it).
  2. Label — choose each company's contractual role. Wrong-but-honest beats flattering-but-false: the platform's whole job is comparing the label with conduct.
  3. Answer — assign questions to the people who actually know; score the four dimensions in plain language; when control changed mid-year, split the period rather than average it.
  4. Prove — one best document per question; contemporaneous system records outrank memos; the unproven-claims list is your to-do list, in priority order.
  5. Read, fix, lock — every warning tells you what was found and what to do; resolve or justify, obtain review, approve and lock. Next year pre-fills and asks only "what changed?"

Three habits that pay:

  • Treat the claim–proof gap as your KPI — it predicts how an inspection goes.
  • Watch letter shares, not just entity averages — drift hides in composition.
  • When a warning annoys you, remember who else would have asked the same question, later, with penalties.
